Testimonials

We often hear and receive kind words from the wonderful people around us. We’d like to share just a few of the delightful notes we have been sent:

Preschool Riding Experience
Our 4 year old daughter has been involved in the pre-school riding program since it started last October.  In this time, my wife and I have witnessed the development of her balance, fine muscle movement and gross muscle strength; we have also witnessed her confidence around animals, kindness towards animals, and knowledge of horse care, anatomy and tack, grow by leaps and bounds.  Another interesting aspect of this for us, as parents, has been the trickle down learning, development and admiration seen in our 2 year old daughter, who no matter the weather, loves to come to the stables to watch her older sister riding the ponies!  There will certainly be another equestrienne in the family.

18 Years …
Horses have always been my passion. When my daughter asked to ride at 8, we found Jenny and Pyramid Stables. That was nearly 18 years, a couple of barn moves, many beloved horses and a generation of young riders ago. I returned to riding when I was almost 50. It was one of the best decisions I have made for myself. Despite Jenny’s best efforts over the years, I am not interested in showing. I ride for pleasure and recreation.

I have made some of my best friends at Pyramid…both equine and human. For me, the worst day at the barn is still better than the best day anywhere else!

Competitive Riding & Life Lessons
My daughter, Karly, has been riding in Jenny’s competitive riding program for about 3 years.  Jenny has not only taught her horsemanship, she has also installed values and a sense of trust that have carried over to life outside the barn.
Jenny’s and Howie’s program has not only taught our daughter to be a better rider but also to be a more responsible person who cares for and looks out for the younger kids and assists them to do the best they can.
Karly has also  learned to be supportive of other competitors and enjoys cheering on her fellow team mates. She has learned to put the needs and well being of her horse before her own desires and whether situations are good or difficult, she has an appreciation for the work and commitment that each rider and horse take on every time they enter the ring.  We as parents are very thankful for the unique experience and role modeling  Jenny and Howie are providing.  The environment they offer supports all kids in learning and growing in non-judgemental ways and helps our young riders develop into caring and thoughtful individuals.
